Supervisor training is required for employers regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT). Every commercial motor vehicle driver and employer in the motor carrier industry must understand and comply with DOT regulations to operate within the United States. Designated individuals are required to receive at least one hour of training on controlled substance use and one hour on alcohol misuse.
