Misleading Emails Regarding FMCSA Clearinghouse - How You Can Keep Your Company Safe
Dear Valued Client,
We wanted to bring to your attention that very misleading emails regarding the FMCSA’s Clearinghouse are being circulated. Your company needs to be careful!
For example, the email may make it appear that your company is not in compliance with the new Clearinghouse regulations and that you will face fines soon unless you register your company promptly.
These emails may also look like they come from the FMCSA by using key words like “audit”, “compliance” and the “US government”. Please note that the FMCSA and US DOT will have proper US government email addresses and will have formal conversations, audits and investigations with your company before determining if any fines are necessary.
These types of emails are meant to mislead you to scare you into using a different third party administrator (TPA) for Clearinghouse services and/or to convince you to pay a one-time setup fee. Please do not fall victim to these dubious marketing tactics.
DriverCheck is here to help you stay in compliance with the regulations every step of the way. If you are unsure if you are using DriverCheck within the Clearinghouse please double-check your FMCSA Clearinghouse account.
