DriverCheck acquires OSAD and Canada Wide Mobile

FORT MCMURRAY, ALBERTA, May 31, 2011 – DriverCheck announced today that it has acquired OSAD and Canada Wide Mobile as it continues to expand its presence in the workplace medical testing market.

“Our acquisition of these companies strengthens the DriverCheck service offering in many ways,” says Connor Page, DriverCheck’s Business Development Manager. “It gives us a full service occupational health clinic in the heart of the Oil Sands.”

The Canada Wide Mobile clinic in Fort McMurray is open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, and offers a broad range of services, including audiometric testing and hearing conservation programs, respirator fit testing, pulmonary function testing, nurse medicals, physical abilities testing, immunizations, and drug and alcohol testing.

“The acquisition of OSAD provides DriverCheck with a stronger collection network, particularly with mobile drug and alcohol testing,” says Page.

The purchase of OSAD also establishes DriverCheck as the largest provider of drug testing services (particularly hair testing) for child protection agencies across Canada.

“We welcome OSAD and Canada Wide Mobile staff to the DriverCheck team and are pleased to say that everyone is fitting in nicely,” says Page.

Dave Woodwark, current president of OSAD, will work with DriverCheck to ensure a smooth transition for clients, and Page says Woodwark will continue to be a valuable resource down the road.

Christine Waugh will continue to manage the Fort McMurray clinic, which Page says DriverCheck plans to use as a platform to develop several additional occupational health clinics throughout Canada.

“This purchase is one example of our continued growth by acquisition, and it highlights our ability to recognize opportunities in new or emerging markets,” he says.
