DriverCheck’s 3rd annual Fitness for Duty Summit is being held in Toronto, Ontario on October 14 and 15. The purpose of this event is to provide employers and healthcare providers education related to Fitness for Duty in the workplace, in particular for safety-sensitive and safety-critical roles.

INSPIRE CHANGE

This year’s theme is Inspire Change.

We hope to inspire change and invoke discussions that will lead to a healthier and safer world.

Our goal is to have attendees leave the event inspired, motivated, and prepared to make a positive change in their workplace. The objective is to provide attendees with knowledge, insight, and action items to address workplace challenges to promote a healthy and safe work environment for their staff and the general public, from both a physical and mental health perspective.

A lot of information will be covered regarding fitness for duty program considerations. The first question is, are you asking the right questions?

We expect that you’ll come with many questions, and we hope to address as many as possible. However, we do expect that you’ll walk away with more new questions, than answers. And that’s a good thing.

A strong fitness for duty program takes collaboration with multiple personnel, key stakeholders, and trusted advisors.

Last year, close to 300 people attended the event in Edmonton, Alberta, and survey results were extremely positive.

Topics covered will include:

  • Virtual care and innovation

  • Artificial intelligence

  • Combatting mental health in the workplace

  • Future of fitness for duty testing

  • Managing injuries in the workplace

  • Cannabis – a workplace with edibles and vapes

  • Opioid epidemic in Canada

Registration will officially open on April 1, 2020. We hope to see you there!
