Nominations are now open for the DriverCheck Award for Canada’s Safest Public Transportation Employer!

At DriverCheck, safety is at the heart of everything we do, and we believe that recognizing those who share this commitment is just as important as the work itself.  

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that, for the second year in a row, we’re partnering with Canadian Occupational Safety to present the DriverCheck Award for Canada’s Safest Public Transportation Employer at the 15th Annual Canada’s Safest Employers Awards on October 9, 2025! 

Public transportation employers play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of their employees and the passengers they serve. This award highlights those organizations that go above and beyond to create a culture of safety—whether on the road, in the air, or at sea. From rigorous safety protocols to drug and alcohol testing, we want to shine a spotlight on those leading the way in workplace and public safety. 

Last year, Metrolinx took home the inaugural award for their outstanding dedication to safety. Their efforts set the bar high, and we can’t wait to see who will take home the trophy this year! Whether it’s a transit system, airline, ferry service, or another public transportation provider, we know there are many organizations out there making safety their top priority. 

The Canada’s Safest Employers Awards is one of the most recognized safety events in the country, bringing together industry leaders across multiple sectors to celebrate excellence in workplace safety.
