Canada's Safest Employer Award

2024 (Toronto) - DriverCheck, the leading provider of drug and alcohol testing, and occupational health solutions, and Key Media, the publisher of Canadian Occupational Safety Magazine, are excited to announce the new “DriverCheck Award for Safest Public Transportation Employer” which will be presented at the 14th Annual Canada’s Safest Employers Awards on October 10, 2024, in Toronto.

The “DriverCheck Award for Safest Public Transportation Employer” will recognize Canadian public transit employers with exemplary health and safety records. “DriverCheck’s first client in 1996 was a trucking company in the small town of Ayr, Ontario and since then the DriverCheck team has taken great pride in working with countless workplaces including many public transportation employers across Canada to help keep their workers and workplaces healthy and safe. DriverCheck’s mission is to create a healthier and safer world – so we are thrilled to recognize employers who value the wellbeing of their employees and public safety,” said Maggie Dunnett, President of DriverCheck. “I would like to thank Key Media and the team at Canadian Occupational Safety Magazine for this exciting opportunity to recognize businesses that make health and safety a priority and proactively make a positive impact to communities across the country.”

“DriverCheck has a long-standing, almost three-decade commitment in helping businesses across Canada keep their workers healthy and safe and that makes DriverCheck the ideal partner for this award category,” said Shane Mercer, Senior Editor, Canadian Occupational Safety. “We are excited to have DriverCheck’s support in recognizing employers in the transportation industry who, like DriverCheck, put safety first.
